In recent news, it has been discussed between the NFL executives and the NFLPA (National Football League Players Association) about from a 16 game regular season to an 18 game regular season. One stipulation is that your players can only play in 16 of the 18 games. I am personally not a fan of this, for the simple fact that it will create more statistical inflation. Increasing to an 18 game season would put every record, that has been set by the some of the most hallowed names in NFL history, in jeopardy. What do you think?
I never thought of it like that but I agree. That would be unfair to players of the past who worked so hard to set those records in 16 games a season. The only thing I would say is couldn’t you say players that go to playoffs multiple years in their career also throw off the stats of past players?

A good point Nicole but the playoffs and the associated stats in the playoffs are typically in a category of their own.
